Showstopper! The Improvised Musical
If you’re missing heading to the theatre, or you’re in the mood for some improv, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical might be for you. As it sounds, it is an entirely improvised musical performed by a company in London, who have rave reviews for both their stage show and their online Zoom version. Tickets are available from £8.
If what you’re really missing is seeing your favourite comedians on stage, Soho Theatre has uploaded a ton of different live comedy routines for you to enjoy at home. If you’re more in the mood for a public lecture, Insights have moved all of their lectures online for the foreseeable future. Upcoming lectures include ‘Long-Covid: What will be the legacy from the pandemic?’ by Professor Chris Brightling and ‘Brexit and Agriculture: What’s next for British farmers?’ by Dr Carmen Hubbard. Swamp Motel’s Interactive Quests
If thrillers are more your speed, try the interactive offerings from Swamp Motel; the Mermaid’s Tongue, and Plymouth Point. This is interactive storytelling, a game that you play in a team of up to 6 people where you have to find clues and piece together a plot. You don’t even need to be physically together to play. A Virtual Street Art Experience In Brooklyn
We might not be able to travel right now, but this event will take you to the streets of Brooklyn. Find out about the history of street art and graffiti, and take a guided tour through East Williamsburg to view dozens of commissioned murals.
