A couple of months ago, Claremont running club "Claremont Road Runners" contacted Transcendit to design a pop-up banner displayed inside Northumbria University to promote the club and attract new runners.
As any advertising pop-up banner, it had to be eye-catching and clearly deliver the information. In this case giving time and location where and when the club runners meet on a weekly basis.
In order to create this banner, our designer had to "vectorise" Claremont Road Runners old logo. Creating a vector logo means the logo can be used at any size, very large or very small, without quality loss. See below for a before / after. The logo on the left is the only copy Claremont has and it has been squashed and stretched over the years, leaving it distorted and very poor quality. With some TLC and a few tweaks Claremont required, they now have a vector version of their logo that they can use anywhere, at any size.
Once the logo was redesigned and in vector format it was time to create the pop-up banner. Our designer integrated the logo in a pin point to quickly explain where the meeting point was. The club wanted a photo of their runners to be placed within the banner. We had to go through a big library of photographs the club had, looking for the most suitable in terms of use of space and quality. Considering the surrounding of the photo was important as it had to be blended with the light blue club colour used as background. See below the final design of the banner.
