Last month we said goodbye to web developer Anthony Karapetrides, who had been with Transcendit for nearly five years. He will be dearly missed by our team and our customers, and we wish him every success for the future.
Joining our web development team is Lyndsey Gardiner, who has started working at our offices in Gateshead. Lyndsey is originally from Middlesbrough, and is now living in Peterlee with her husband Alick.
'I've always really liked IT, from when I was a child.' says Lyndsey. 'My mum was a computer programmer, so she got me into everything. I think her logic skills were passed down to me, because I've always found it really enjoyable and straightforward. I learned to code fairly early on.'
Lyndsey went to Leeds University to study New Media, where she learned, 'bits of everything' including web design, web development, and slightly weirder things like how to make menu screens for DVDs. Lyndsey then started worked for a few IT companies in and around Middlesbrough, before joining our team in Gateshead.
Lyndsey is an avid board game fan, and at lunchtime can often be found teaching Sushi Go! or Galaxy Trucker to people in our Gateshead office. Outside of work, Lyndsey enjoys sewing quilts and bags, gaming and watching Formula 1. She also spends her time looking after her cats, Kitler and Ferris.
