Amazon is fast, convenient and easy to use - and millions of us use it to buy everything from books to cat litter. But are you always getting a good deal on Amazon? You will be with our awesome, not-so-secret hacks.
We love the site camelcamelcamel. Just pop in the url of the item you want to purchase, and camelcamelcamel will throw up the price history for that item. This is really useful when you’re on the fence about purchasing something - if it’s shot up in price, give it a couple of weeks and see if it comes back down.
Lightning Deals are a great way to save money, particularly on pricey items like laptops and other tech. Amazon offers some pretty hefty discounts on some items, and there’s a timer on each item displaying how long you can get this deal for. There’s also a strict amount they sell at these discounted prices, and so you have to get in before they sell out.
Amazon’s Warehouse Deals are also a great place to grab a bargain. These are items that have been returned to Amazon and can’t be sold as ‘new’ - they might be refurbished, or the box may be a bit damaged. The only difference is you won’t get a warranty from the original manufacturer - but you do get one from Amazon itself. You can get a fair amount off when you buy through the Warehouse though - and if you’re not satisfied with what you receive, you can return it - just like a normal purchase!
Earn Amazon vouchers
If you’re spending a lot of money on Amazon (and if you’re reading this you probably are) then this is a great way to earn some vouchers to take the edge off. Download the Indeed Job Spotter app, and every time you see a job advert in the real world, snap a photo and upload it. These get converted into points, which you can then exchange for Amazon vouchers.
