Podcasts used to be a relatively niche form of media, but today it seems like everyone and their mother subscribes to one. Thanks to the success of shows like Serial, podcasts of every genre have moved out of the shadows and straight into our pockets. If you're looking to grace your smartphone with a few more shows, here are our favourite technology podcasts that we can't stop listening to.
Reply All
Reply All is hosted by the hilarious PJ Vogt and Alex Goldman, who discuss any and all things internet related. The episodes range from investigative journalism, to solving a listener's complicated IT issues, to explaining the internet slang in a viral tweet to their IT-illiterate CEO. The podcast is fascinating, funny and highlights some great stories that you might otherwise miss. And you don't need to be IT literate to enjoy it.
Reply All releases new episodes weekly. New listeners should try the episode Long Distance, where Alex starts bothering a fake call centre in Delhi.
Ctrl Alt Delete
Ctrl Alt Delete is hosted by Emma Gannon, who interviews online and offline celebrities about the themes in her book of the same name. Think lots of internet chat, and a fair bit of social media chat too. Guests on previous episodes have included Joe Lycett, Alice Levine, Zoella, Laura Bates and Mara Wilson. It's a great podcast if your interested in learning about how the internet intersects the lives of online personalities; as well as mental health, feminism and careers.

This week in Tech
This week in Tech is hosted by Leo Laporte, and discusses, as you may have guessed, tech related news items from around the world. It's a great way to get your daily dose of tech news without having to read through a ton of articles on different sites. It's funny, informative and easy to listen to on your commute. Tech inventions, virtual reality, apps, technological trends - if its tech related, the guys are probably talking about it.

Note to Self
Are you super paranoid about whether smartphones are listening to you? Or your TV, iKettle or internet connected baby monitor? We definitely are. Note to Self is hosted by Manoush Zomorodi, and is the ideal podcast for those who have an unquenchable thirst for worrying tech stories - or those who get anxious whenever Alexa responds to you when you haven't used the wake word. The episodes are nice and short, the perfect size for your lunch break.
Note to Self releases new episodes weekly. New listeners should try the episode, Alexa, is Amazon taking over the world?
TheCultCast
TheCultCast is hosted by Erfon Elija, and is a one-stop-shop for anything and everything Apple related. It's a great podcast that's very much in the same vein as the Cult Of Mac website, which it is affiliated with. It covers pretty much anything to do with Apple, whether it be news stories, new devices or apps. The guys clearly have a lot of fun recording, which creates an interesting and amusing podcast that doesn't get old.
