On Saturday 4th June Transcendit's Diane Littlewood (pictured centre above) completed the Colourama, in an effort to raise money for St Cuthbert's Hospice.
The 5k non-competitive walk/run took place in Aykley Heads in Durham. Participants were showered in different coloured powder paint whilst working their way through a number of obstacles such as netting and tunnels, manoeuvring themselves around hay bales and hurtling down a waterslide.
'I can’t remember how long it took me to complete, but what a laugh it was.' says Diane. 'There were five obstacles and more than twenty paint stalls, where members of St Cuthbert’s hospice threw paint powder in our faces. It was so much fun! My t-shirt was bright white before!'
Diane's group raised near to £1000 for the hospice. Director Tom Tinsley says, 'Transcendit have always maintained that giving back to our community is important, and when members of our team undertake a challenge like Diane has they deserve our support as well as our congratulations. We can't wait to sponsor her again next year!'
If you'd like to support St Cuthbert's Hospice, you can make a one off donation here. They also expect to secure charity places for the Great North Run, so if you'd like to help them reach their target of £1.3m for this year you can find out more here.
